We are delighted to inform you that the Lokmat Times Campus Club Rapid Chess Tournament 2026 is being organized to promote strategic thinking, concentration, and sportsmanship among students.
We encourage all eligible students to participate in this exciting tournament and showcase their chess skills.
Tournament Details
📅 Date: Sunday, 2nd August 2026
📍 Venue: Lokmat Bhavan, Jalna Road, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar
(Entry through Lokmat Gate on Jawaharlal Darda Road – Rear Gate)
Competition Schedule
Category 1: Students of Grades 1 to 4
- Reporting Time: 9:30 a.m.
- Competition Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Category 2: Students of Grades 5 to 7
- Reporting Time: 1:30 p.m.
- Competition Time: 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Category 3: Students of Grades 8 to 10
- Reporting Time: 3:45 p.m.
- Competition Time: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Highlights
- 🏆 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Prizes in each group.
- 🌟 Two Special Prizes for the Grades 1 to 4 category.
- 📜 Participation Certificate for every participant.
- ♟️ Tournament will be conducted in Knockout Format.
- 🏅 Prize Distribution Ceremony:6:15 p.m.
Important Instructions
- The competition is exclusively for Lokmat Times Campus Club Members (2026–27).
- Campus Club Membership will also be available at the venue.
- Students must bring:
- ♟️ Their own Chess Board
- 🪪 School ID Card
- 🆔 Campus Club ID Card (2026–27)
- Separate categories will be conducted for Boys and Girls.
